Notes and Readings correspond to each lecture. Although the notes cover almost everything important, it is still necessary to read the text to cover all the details. Be aware that the readings only cover the primary text, and not the listening guides, thus the actual length of the readings is usually only equivalent to half of how many pages are actually assigned (for example, lecture 5 is only about 8 actual pages of reading).
